This guide explains how to manually export a case file from Parting Pro and upload it to TMS. This process will eventually be replaced by full automation.

🔐 Requirements

  • Admin access to both TMS and Parting Pro accounts

📥 Step 1: Export the Case File from Parting Pro

  1. Log in to Parting Pro and go to Cases.

  2. Open the case you want to export.

  3. Click the Tribute File button.

Note: You can also access the Tribute File download button within the case details.

This will download a .json file containing that case’s data to your computer.

📤 Step 2: Upload the File into TMS

  1. In TMS, go to Admin Settings > Import.

  2. Click Upload Parting Pro Export.

  3. Click Choose File and select the .json file you just downloaded.

  4. Click Submit.

If the upload is successful, you’ll see a message that says: “Yay! You successfully imported some Parting Pro data.”

The case will now appear in your TMS system.

📌 Re-uploading files from the same case in Parting Pro will overwrite any previous version of that case in TMS, including any manual changes that were made in TMS.
