Your Finance Export provides a clear record of all invoices and payments that were recorded in Parting Pro during a selected date range. This includes credit card payments as well as any cash or check payments your staff entered into the system.

The export helps you review what was billed, what was paid, and any refunds that were issued. You can use it for end-of-month review, reporting, or to share with your accountant.

You do not need any special setup or tools to use this report.

πŸ—‚ What Each Section Shows

Your export is one file with multiple tabs. Each tab answers a different question.

Invoices

Shows what was billed in Parting Pro.

You will see each service or item, the amount, tax (if applicable), and the case it belongs to.

Use this section to:

  • Review billed revenue

  • Confirm what was included in a case

  • Check pricing and tax application

Received Payments

Shows the payments your team recorded in Parting Pro, including credit card, cash, check, or ACH.

For credit card payments, you will see:

  • The amount the family paid (Gross)

  • The processing fee automatically deducted

  • The amount that reached your bank account (Net)

For cash or check payments:

  • Gross and Net will be the same

  • No processing fee is shown

Use this section to:

  • Match deposits to your bank account

  • Understand processing fees (credit cards only)

  • Confirm payment completion

If your funeral home passes card fees to families, Net typically matches your service pricing.

If your funeral home absorbs the fee, Net will be slightly lower.

Credits and Refunds

Shows any payments that were refunded.

This helps ensure revenue is adjusted correctly for the reporting period.

Products and Services

Lists the services and merchandise that appear on invoices.

This helps categorize revenue into service income, merchandise, or pass-through items.

Customers

Provides family and case information for reference.

This is simply for identifying which payment or invoice belongs to which case.

🧭 How to Use This Export Each Month

  1. Open Received Payments and review the Net Amount column for credit card payments.

This matches what appears in your bank deposits.

  2. Review Invoices to see which services and items were billed.

  3. Check Credits and Refunds to determine any revenue that needs to be subtracted.

  4. Use Products and Services if your accountant categorizes revenue by type.

  5. Send the export directly to your accountant.

They do not need access to Parting Pro.

🌟 Quick Tip

If you want to check your deposit totals:

  • Add up the Net Amount column for credit card payments only

  • Then compare that total to your bank deposits for the same date range

Cash and check payments already match the amount your staff entered.

πŸ” About QuickBooks and Importing

Some funeral homes choose to import this data using tools such as SaasAnt or Transaction Pro. This is an optional practice and should be handled by your accountant or bookkeeping professional.

Parting Pro does not provide training or support for third-party import tools.

🎯 Summary

Your Finance Export shows:

  • What was billed

  • What was paid (credit card, cash, or check)

  • What was refunded

  • How much was actually deposited

Your accountant will focus on the Net Amount for credit card deposits and the Gross Amount for cash/check entries.

πŸ“˜ How to Use Your Finance Export Each Month

This workflow helps you or your accountant review and record revenue each month.

Open Received Payments

  • Credit card payments show Gross, Fee, and Net
