How to enable text message notifications

Learn how to enable text message alerts in Parting Pro so your team receives instant notifications for payments, contracts, form completions, and new orders directly on their mobile phones.

Parting Pro can now send you text message alerts when important events happen on your cases, like completed payments, signed contracts, submitted forms, and new orders. These notifications are sent directly to your mobile phone so you never miss a time-sensitive update.

Text message alerts work alongside your existing email notifications. Nothing changes with your emails -- text alerts are an additional channel you can turn on.

Before you start

  • Your funeral home must have text message notifications enabled by the Parting Pro team. If you're not sure whether it's been turned on, reach out to your Parting Pro contact.

  • Each team member must enable text alerts for themselves. You cannot turn on text notifications for another team member.

How to enable text message alerts

Step 1: Go to the Team page

From your Parting Pro dashboard, navigate to Settings > Team.

You'll see a list of all team members at your funeral home. There is now an Opt In column that shows whether each person has enabled text message notifications.

Step 2: Edit your user profile

Click on your name in the team list to open your user profile, then click Edit.

Step 3: Turn on the Enable Message Alerts toggle

In the edit modal, you'll see a new Enable Message Alerts toggle. It's off by default. Switch it on.

Step 4: Enter your mobile phone number

Once you turn on the toggle, a phone number field will appear. Enter the mobile number where you'd like to receive text alerts.

You'll also see a consent notice explaining what types of messages you'll receive, how to opt out, and links to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. By enabling text alerts and entering your number, you're agreeing to receive these notifications.

Step 5: Save

Click Update to confirm your changes. You'll start receiving text notifications for case events going forward.

What notifications will I receive?

You'll get text alerts for the same critical case events that trigger your team notification emails:

  • New at-need, imminent, or pre-need orders

  • Completed payments

  • Contract signatures

  • Digital form completions

  • Vitals submissions

  • ID verification results (success or failure)

  • Death certificate working copy reviews

How to opt out

You can turn off text message notifications at any time by going back to your user profile, switching the Enable SMS Alerts toggle off, and saving. You can also reply STOP to any text message you receive from Parting Pro.

FAQ

Can an admin enable text notifications for other team members? No. Each team member must enable text alerts for themselves and enter their own phone number. This is required for consent purposes.

Will I still get email notifications? Yes. Email notifications are not affected. Text messages are an additional channel.

Is there a cost to receive these texts? Parting Pro does not charge for text message notifications. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.

I'm not seeing the toggle in my user settings. Text message notifications need to be enabled for your funeral home by the Parting Pro team first. If you don't see the toggle, reach out to your Parting Pro contact or email support.

Can I choose which notifications I get via text? Not at this time. When text alerts are enabled, you'll receive texts for all supported case notification types. We may add more granular controls in a future update.
