To track your ad spending and performance in your Google Ads account, you can utilize several tools and features provided by Google:

1.Google Ads Dashboard:

  • Log in to your Google Ads account and navigate to the dashboard. Here, you can view an overview of your ad campaigns, including metrics such as clicks, impressions, and conversions.

  • Your Transactions page shows you monthly accrued costs for each campaign. You can also view daily costs for one or more of your campaigns by viewing your Billed cost report.

2.Campaign Performance:

  • Drill down into individual campaigns to analyze their performance. You can monitor key metrics like click-through rate (CTR), cost-per-click (CPC), conversion rate, and more by navigating to the specific campaign. At the top of the overview page, you’ll find a performance snapshot that summarizes key metrics.

3.Google Analytics Integration:

  • Link your Google Ads account with Google Analytics to gain deeper insights into user behavior and track conversions more accurately. This allows you to analyze the effectiveness of your campaigns in driving website traffic and conversions.

4.Ad Performance Reports:

  • Generate ad performance reports within Google Ads to track the performance of your ads over time. Customize these reports to include specific metrics and time periods relevant to your goals.

  • You can create your custom reports using Report Editor which will allow you to build reports tailored to your needs.

5.Budget Monitoring:

  • Keep track of your ad spending by monitoring your budget utilization within Google Ads. Set daily or campaign-level budget caps to control your spending and ensure it aligns with your overall advertising goals.

6.Billing Summary:

  • Access your billing summary in Google Ads to review your account's billing history and invoices. This allows you to track your ad spending and reconcile it with your budget allocations.

7.Automated Rules and Alerts:

  • Set up automated rules and alerts within Google Ads to receive notifications when specific performance thresholds are met or exceeded. This helps you stay informed about significant changes in your campaign performance. You can set up your automated rules by accessing your Rules Manager.

By utilizing these tools and features within your Google Ads account, you can effectively track your ad spending and performance, enabling you to make informed decisions and optimize your campaigns for better results.
