1. What's available
Parting Pro can set up your service type list to match what your funeral home offers. Along with the standard types, you can turn on Aquamation, Natural Reduction, Forwarding of Remains, Receiving of Remains, Trade Work, Donation, Removal From State, Merchandise Only, and Other, or add a custom type unique to your funeral home. Your list changes only when you ask us to update it.
2. Where you'll see it
Once your list is configured, it shows up everywhere you'd expect:
The service type picker on a case, in your saved order, showing only the types you actually offer.
The Cases dashboard filter.
The Financial Reports filter.
Each of these reflects your funeral home's configured list, including custom types, not a generic shared list.
3. Requesting a change
Changes to your service type list go through Parting Pro. If you'd like us to:
Add a custom service type unique to your funeral home
Reorder your list, or rename a custom type you’ve added.
Turn on one of the newer types, like Aquamation or Natural Reduction.
Just reach out to your Parting Pro contact or support, and we'll take care of it!
Adding a type like Aquamation? You may also want forms to auto-send for it. See Recommended Form Settings.
4. What happens to your existing cases
Nothing! This only changes what's offered for new selections going forward.
A case that already has a service type keeps it, even if that type gets hidden or renamed later.
Hiding a service type doesn't touch any case that already used it, it just won't be offered as an option for new cases anymore.
FAQ
Will this change anything on cases we've already created?
No! Existing cases keep exactly the service type they already have. This only affects what's offered going forward.
Can we add a service type that's unique to just our funeral home?
Yes! Let us know the name and we'll add it as a custom type just for your account.
Can our team set this up ourselves without contacting support?
Not at the moment. Every change to your service type list goes through Parting Pro. Reach out and we’ll take care of it.
